![]() ![]() In total, it takes FIVE Supply drops to whittle her blue health bar down to zero. If done correctly, the delay of her firing a shot just as the supply box falls on top of her WILL indeed hit her. I’m running 8x 32gb dimms, an 8 core cpu, 4x 6tb HDDs in the front hot swap drives, a Quadro p600, 2 SATA SSDs and an m.2 and it’s whisper quiet and draws 65-90w depending on what’s going on on it. IS EXTREME SUB.HD SCREENCAPS.1.jpg ![]() I also swapped my 24/7 r630 for a dell precision 5820 which uses the newer “x299 style” LGA 2066 socket with Skylake / Cascade lake Xeon W CPUs. I had a z440 with a 10 core e5 v4 and could idle under 100w with 2 HDDs and 1 SSD. Lenovos think station is pretty good too. If you want to save power, I’d hold off on an r730 and look at a used single socket hp z440 or single socket z640 (it’s a weird one that you can add another socket to its mother board) or the dell precision t5810 (I think) that’s the equivalent. Dual sockets will also consume more power as well for obvious reasons. Most x99 boards will support some Xeon e5 v3/4 however you lose ecc. The consumer i7 chips that fit the socket on x99 support lower p states and can consume less power and support higher frequency memory. If you fans aren’t in the lowest power state, set them to that, fans consume a lot of power.Īlso, please provide mode details on x99, as that is the consumer chipset using LGA 2011-3 and there is also the Xeon chipset (C602 I believe) that uses the same socket. I can get an r630/730 with SSDs only and 2 8 core v4’s to the about the same usage. On that platform with all of that spinning rust,150w is impressive. r/HomeNetworking - Simpler networking advice. r/pfsense - for all things pfsense ('nix firewall) Might be able to find things useful for a lab. r/hardwareswap - Used hardware, swap hardware. r/buildapcsales - For sales on building a PC r/linux - All flavors of Linux discussion & news - not for the faint of heart!
